About Wild Ginger Healing Arts

Wild Ginger, aka Asarum, is a small plant that grows close to the ground in the thick underbrush of the trees and ferns in our Pacific Northwest forests.  Coiled below the broad heart shaped leaves of this plant, a unique and tender flower is concealed.  One must get close and gently look for the hidden beauty of this flower underneath the protective shadows.  The medicinal properties of this plant, often used in tincture form, is that of movement.  To unblock places that are stuck.  Much like the work that happens at Wild Ginger Healing Arts where the focus is to return the body and spirit to its healthy fluid nature and take the time to quietly discover the treasure often hidden in the shadows and density.
